With heavy hearts, family, friends, and the Somerset, Kentucky community mourn the unexpected passing of William Adkins II, affectionately known as “WeeWee,” who passed away on May 8, 2026, at the age of 32.
Born on March 12, 1994, in Somerset, William lived a life centered around love, loyalty, family, and friendship. His passing leaves behind deep sorrow among those who knew and loved him, while also leaving a lasting legacy built on kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion to the people closest to him.

William was a devoted husband to Rebecca Adkins and a proud father to Brooklynn Adkins, Kaiden Crabtree, Landon Crabtree, and William Adkins III. His children were the heart of his world, and he embraced fatherhood with immense pride, love, and dedication. Whether spending time together, offering guidance, or simply making memories with them, William treasured every moment shared with his family.
Known for his infectious personality and generous spirit, WeeWee had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. Friends and loved ones remember him as someone who could always bring laughter into a room, offer support during difficult moments, and stand by the people he cared about without hesitation. His authenticity and compassionate nature left a meaningful impact on countless lives.
William also had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed life with enthusiasm and adventure. Hunting, riding four-wheelers, and preparing for derbies were among the activities that brought him joy. More than anything, however, he valued time spent with family and friends, creating memories that those closest to him will forever hold dear.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Adkins; his aunt, Brenda Sammons; and his grandmothers, Evelyn Schaade and Janice Trimble.
William is survived by his loving wife, children, extended family members, and many lifelong friends who will continue honoring his memory and cherishing the moments they shared with him.
Funeral services for William “WeeWee” Adkins II will be held at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, followed by burial at Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Though his life was cut far too short, William’s memory will continue to live on through the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the countless lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
